Troubleshooting Scenario: Port-Channel (LACP) Link Aggregation

Network Simulation Overview

Status: Port-Channel 1 is down. Channel-group mode mismatch between AC_Switch (No LACP) and Core Switch.

Switch Console - Access Switch (AC_Switch)
AC_Switch> enable AC_Switch#

What is Port-Channel (EtherChannel / LACP)?

Port-Channeling (or Link Aggregation) combines multiple physical Ethernet links into a single logical link. Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP - IEEE 802.3ad) is an open-standard protocol used to dynamically negotiate and combine physical switch ports to increase bandwidth and provide fault tolerance.
